IN NEED FOR A Proposal Template & Terms and Conditions
17th February, 2009 by Relmi Damiano
Hi, It would be great if AGDA was to update their Proposal Template... It is 13 years old now, and it would be quite handy to have a good sample.
At the moment the AIGA has a great, in depth, and up to date proposal template..with terms. However, this is geared for the U.S Laws, and some terms may not be applicable to Australian designers. Not sure, I am not a solicitor.
Anyway, hopefully someone gets this message and does something about it. Thanks.

Agreed, but the AIGA document is 49 pages longer than the AGDA one! It must be possible to update the AGDA proposal template (if only to excise the terms 'dummy' and 'film') without producing something that will scare the clients...
Conversely I have been working in NZ with a design practice whose T&C sheet lists 22 clauses on a single page (I can send you a copy if you like) - but in practice they never adhere to them because 'it's too much trouble' ...there must be a middle way.

AGDA National is in the process of reviewing all the old content on the website (including the proposal template etc). As you can imagine there is a lot of it; but we are actively updating throughout this year. CZ
