Find a designer? Found a new client!
11th October, 2008 by Simon Mundy
It's now been a little over 6 months since the new AGDA site has gone live with the new 'Find a designer' section. Just having the opportunity to have a peek at everyone's profile, put faces to names and get a better idea of what's going on work-wise around Australia has been a lot of fun.
But more importantly, this section is aimed at promoting you and your work to the industry at large. What we're keen to hear is... has it worked? Have you had some leads or even scored a few new projects simply by clients discovering you here?
We would love to hear any stories - good and bad - about your experiences with the directory. How can we make it better? What do you like about it?
Look forward to your thoughts.

A 'keyword search' field in 'Find a Designer' would be great too - currently you can search by individual/studio, state/territory, and 'name' - but I think a keyword search which included names would be more beneficial. That way, if I was an client looking for a STUDIO in VICTORIA who did BROCHURES, in one click a list of names would appear.
Great looking site though, and love that you are requesting (and listening to) member feedback.
Cheers.

We've been happy to have nabbed a few clients through it. Some good, some not so good. The search ideas as mentioned above would be great to look into. Thanks.
