Anyone know who designed the ASIC logo?

I'm a postgraduate research student at the UTS. At the moment I am developing a visual timeline of logos that document the Australian map from the traditional to a contemporary configuration.

It's important for me to find out who designed the ASIC logo. Yes I have checked with ASIC, they don't know.

Anyone out there have any details which could help me?

The designer was Gillian Allan, whilst an employee of Cato (Sydney) c.1989. Now a partner in How Graphic Design, you can call her on 02 8514 5100 for more info. You can see more of her work in the AGDA resources at the How studio profile.
