3 Cheers for Adelaide
26th October, 2008 by Simon Mundy
Well, I've literally just got back to the hotel room with my head spinning (both from the conference, the awards, and the effects of the after-party playlist!) and felt compelled to commit some thoughts on the whole event.
I can't congratulate the team enough for a wonderful few days - we flew in on Thursday in time for the evening dinners and then the Friday sessions, Friday cocktails and, of course, the awards evening itself. In each of those events I found myself talking to all and sundry and getting a healthy dose of optimism and humour which has been sorely needed during the past 2 weeks. I'd forgotten how much fun it was to simply sit down and chat about this kind of stuff for so long.
Big kudos to the Adelaide Protocol for the energy it's brought - look out for a more detailed post about this in the coming weeks, along with all the award winners, conference reviews, photos and any other tidbits that people care to send us (via the feedback page or direct to webmaster@agda.com.au). We'd love to hear individual responses to the weekend on the site, in the form of stories or pics.
Thank you Matthew, Derek, Rita, Nic and pretty much half of Adelaide who pitched in, made us feel at home and put on a great show for us all.
Now it's time for us all to get some sleep...

The Conference was enjoyable and inspirational, with some great speakers presenting.
The Awards, too, were very enjoyable. Shaun Micallef is a star!
Thanks to Matt, Derek, Rita and all who assisted so ably.
